The wild beetles of the National Park and the Sasso Fratino Integral Reserve are part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. The decision was taken last Friday, July 7, in Krakow, during the 41st session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which decided to extend the accreditation already allocated to the carparks to those of another 10 European countries. Thus, 12 countries with the presence of natural sites of wild beetles registered in the world heritage: Italy, Austria, Belgium, Slovenia, Spain, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.
